CD REVIEW: HEAVY ROCK RADIO by Jorn

HEAVY ROCK RADIO by Jorn
(Frontier Records)

He's back! One of rock music's most versatile and powerful voices,  Jorn Lande unleashes, 'Heavy Rock Radio'. A unique recording of covers featuring both classic rock and personal favorites that helped forge his own unique vocal prowess. All of the tracks have been given his own flavor. Featured - among others - are great versions of, the Frida classic, "Know There's Something Going On", the Eagles' "Hotel California" and Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill".  Other highlights include;  John Farnham's "You're The Voice", Queen's "Killer Queen", and two melodic rock classics in the form of Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" and Foreigner's "Rev On The Red Line". Jorn also served up hard rock classics with "The Final Frontier" by Iron Maiden , "Live to Win" by Paul Stanley, Deep Purple ("Stormbringer"), Dio ("Rainbow In The Dark") and Black Sabbath ("Die Young").  It is a shame that the American market doesn't take notice to this Norweigan born vocalist and embrace a true artist. 'Heavy Rock Radio' is a must-have for all Jorn fans, and a should-have for anyone who has heard his name and wondered what all the fuss is about.  Highly Recommended
